What matters to us

Education has always been at the heart of the Sikh faith. At Guru Nanak Gurdwara Smethwick, we are committed to creating opportunities for people of all ages to learn, grow, and deepen their understanding of Sikh teachings, history, and culture.

Our education programme aims to:

• Share the values and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
• Support children and young people in learning Gurmukhi, Gurbani, and Sikh history.
• Provide spaces for discussion, reflection, and learning for the whole community.
• Build bridges with schools, colleges, and local organisations to promote awareness of Sikhism.

We also welcome visitors from schools, universities, and community groups who wish to learn more about the Sikh faith and the role of the Gurdwara in daily life.
